Concrete or shells? Lynnhaven oysters stuck on both

VIRGINIA BEACH TRAYS OF OYSTER shells or crushed concrete were awash in muddy water full of sea lettuce, squirming worms and squirting sea squirts. The trays were not exactly where you would expect to find lots of babies. Yet last week Lynnhaven River Now volunteers counted a couple of thousand young oyster spat in an experiment to determine where baby oysters like to settle and grow up.
